camera always in hand. sometimes for profit, sometimes not. torn between city life and country life. documents everything.

what a year it has been. i like to create end of year photo reviews because it’s such a concise and cool way to look back at year’s past. when i started to think about my own personal recap (i did professional ones here and here) i didn’t really think i had done a good job of documenting my life. i guess i did better than i thought because i had no problem filling nearly 4 minutes worth of content. i must say, the addition of video totally made the slideshow this year. and in case you were wondering, the hd video on my new 5d mark ii blew my socks off. they’re still missing.

2011 highlights (and lowlights):

cities visited: houston, brussels, amsterdam, pfaffenweiler, meersburg, oberammergau & munich (germany), chicago, chautauqua (ny), cancun (mx).

most memorable: the fabulous sushi go-roud josh and i found for my birthday in brussels. they didn’t know what hit them by the time we left.

most forgettable: losing 3 loved ones, all in the past month and a half. i wave the white flag, life. seriously.

biggest lesson learned: at the end of the day, family is all you have. make the most of the time you’ve been gifted. oh and if you don’t want to see 90% naked women in broad daylight, DON’T go to red light district of amsterdam. it really is all the say it is.
